Reviews for Vixen (#5589)

A side scrolling whip-em-up(?!).
The artwork, graphics and promotion for this game all have two strong assets going for them, fnar.
The game is playable and well presented, indeed your character is very nicely drawn and animated. There just isn't much to the game once you're done perving at a few well placed monochrome pixels.
Visually appealing but ultimately shallow game.

An unflattering game with drone gameplay and no lasting appeal. The only reason this was popular was its raunchy artwork, suppose they needed a way to market and sell their rubbish product and they suceeded.

Heavily publicized game, it counts with a decent premise and a good technical level. Nice graphics, good animation, nice flow of movement.. and even a truly memorable title tune from the criminally underrated Jas C Brooke.

To tell the truth I didn't expected so good quality in a so much publicized game.
Then the game starts, and seems well designed and with good concept of jump'n'run and collect'em up. Even has extra bonus stages not bad planned.

But the sum of all factors doesn't give us a better product. Feels uninspired and lacks that 'something more', lacks 'a good third act' that would say in drama theater. The game fails into doesn't gives you a sensation of crusade against evil, because its not varied and reach too early until a point when you doesn't hope an extra detail of quality or discovery. Although the wish of get better score and collect more gems is there, should be stronger.

The gameplay gets repetitive very quickly. It's not bad for a quick gaming session but there's very little game here.

It's mostly about the curves of the sampled model (see how she struts), but it's actually a playable game.

Sex sells, that's all that needs to be said. Take a mediocre game, give it a raunchy cover and it'll sell like pancakes on Pancake Tuesday, or at least it did back then anyway. Nowadays, perhaps not but women were marketing tools back then especially those with big breasts, this and Barbarian serves as proof, except Barbarian was at least a good game whereas this isn't.

Vixen is certainly a cool name, but not a good game.
Funny how every Martech game are one failure after another. Looks like Rex is the only one to be saved.

Did they another try with Samantha Fox? Well, that explains so many things
