Excellent videoadventure by UsGold !!

Simple but effective graphics. Inspiring setting. Charismatic main character. This game involves you like a film ...

Before rescuing Lupita you will need to solve several tests with the help of your sword and imagination ... truly challenging and enjoyable !! Pretty looking game !!

Ps - again I must disagree with Alessandro who , once again , totally misses the point about this archaic gem and about the possibilities of the Spectrum back in the day ... in fact , I consider Zorro one of the most loved games ever made for the Spectrum -.

Ps - Zorro means "fox" in Spanish .

Pretty poor in terms of both presentation and gameplay, Zorro is a platform with some adventure elements which never really takes off.

Not a patch on similar titles like Bruce Lee, Zorro shows some good tricks here and there, but not enough to lift the whole game above mediocrity.

An enjoyable game that while not the greatest game was always a favourite of mine. Nothing special in retrospect but still a classy game in my book.

Bizarre but playable platform game. I liked branding the cow and bouncing on the drunkard's belly but never managed to finish.

A plattform adventure by US Gold. You're the famous Zorro and must rescue a beautiful maiden from evil Colonel Garcia.

To accomplish your mission you must solve a series of puzzles in order using certain objects you'll come across, in the style of games like Pyjamarama, but only one object at a time. Pick an an object to solve a puzzle that lets you pick up an object to solve another puzzle and so on.

The question is some puzzles are either funny (the bottle to the drunk guy), clever (the flower pot) or surrealistic, almost impossible to imagine their solution (the trumpet).

The graphics are simple but acceptable and the sounds are poor just like the loading screen or the menu; only a starting tune at the beginning of the game.

In general, Zorro is a funny, original game that can become frustrating.

Zorro is one of those games that stands out from the crowd. Graphically it doesn't have a stylized look and it's not particularly beautiful, but it as it's own personality. There are a few elements in the game that again stand out from the crowd. For instance, the characters and objects with which you have to interact just appear to be there as decor for the background. Just look at the drunkards and you'll know what I mean. They seem to just be there as decor, until you find out that there is something you can actually do with them. And once you discover that, it's a great feeling. Suddenly you will be exploring every pixel. This is something I never saw before or even after in any other game.

Some compare Zorro to Bruce Lee, but I think they are very different games. While Bruce Lee is a straight forward action platform, where everything is pretty obvious, Zorro can be quite deceiving. You have to solve a few complex puzzles to move forward, otherwise you will just be walking around the town clueless. There is a few action, though. Garcia's men are always lurking about and you can never be too careful.

The game has it's flaws, certainly. But they are not significant enough to spoil the game.
Overall I think it's a great fun little game, with lots in it to do.
