The main difference between the 48k and 128k versions is the 48k loader, that was not compatible with the 128k systems and got removed from that version.

The original 48k cassette contains two versions of the game, with slightly different ships. On one side, the enemy ships are the Cobra, Asp, Fer-de-lance, Thargoid/Thargon, Sidewinder, Krait and Viper. On the other side, the Krait has been replaced with the Adder. Save games are fully compatible, so it is possible to start playing with one set of ships and then switch to the other set.
