Preservation Tools
There are several online forms, which you can use for adding new entries or modifying existing ones. You can:

  • Add a new (MIA) title/entry (SW, HW, book)
  • Add new files for existing title/entry
  • Add original publishers/authors for existing title/entry
  • Add a new re-releaser for existing title/entry
  • Make changes for existing title/entry
  • Make changes for uploaded files
  • Make changes for existing publisher/author
  • Make changes for releases
  • Make changes for magazine references

SCREENSHOTS!!!

These titles (listed below) don't have a screenshot yet. Please help us to complete the archive!

In ZXDB, screenshots must be saved directly in the original SCR format. Most emulators have an option to save the current screen as ".SCR". NEVER store them as GIF/BMP/PNG image, otherwise they will lose hidden details!

If you think a particular game has so much variation that only one in-game screen won't be enough to represent it, you can create more screenshots. Just please avoid repetitive nearly-identical screens, and ensure the most representative screen is uploaded first since it's the screen that will be displayed in game lists. A good example of varied screenshots is Pets vs Aliens Prologue.

If a particular game has different loading screens in re-releases, or multiple parts with a different loading screen in each one, then these others can be uploaded too. A good example is El Cetro del Sol.

If a particular game runs in multicolor, please save a screenshot directly as MLT instead of SCR, using Fuse 1.4.0 or later.

This list below shows mismatches between ZXDB and SPOT/SPEX, regarding authors of certain titles. Except for a few cases of minor differences on author name spelling (that we plan to handle ASAP), most remaining cases show completely different authors (or companies) credited for the production of certain titles. If you have any information that could help us clarify these cases, please let us know. Thank you!
