a one screen vertical shoot'em up that i'm liking a lot. i laugh playing it.
it often happens some laughable accidents: for example, i shoot the alien ship, which falls on another red alien ship which flies low to jam my bullets, which falls over me, in a chain of silly distruction accompanied by good explosive sound effects. you have to destroy the shield under the green alien rotating in the dome, in order to kill him.
but there's that big laser gun going perpetually from side to side shooting at you, a white flying thing bombing you, which is able to fly anywhere in the screen, and throw the bombs not simply where you are, but where it thinks you'll be in a moment, judging by your movement, if you're not still.
then there is the already mentioned red spaceship, which shoots a laser that destroy yours. but in doing that it risks to hit the white one, which, of course, can fall over you, or over the red spacecraft itself. which, in turn, can fall over you.

The lack of sound deprives me of enjoying this game a lot . The colors are right ,,, though .

The plot is quite unique and very unlike any other shooter played by me before ,,, to see an alien brain exploding under a monochrome rainbow in a feast of blood & guts was the last thing I was expecting . A truly surreal vision .

Weird and original are the two main termns that fit this game the most .

This is not a bad game at all really, it just seems a little unfair at times and you die a lot quicker than you probably should. But it's still pretty enjoyable for what it is.

1983 Crystal Computing (UK)
by Raymond Fowkes

This a very weird and different shoot 'em up from the early days of the Spectrum.
It has elements from other games such as Phoenix and Space Invaders but used in a different and very interesting way.
Raymond Fowkes wrote just a few games, but was quite good doing so, his games are usually straightforward, fast and quite addictive. Animation is usually very good for such tiny sprites and his explosions were quite realistic.
