Reviews for Edd the Duck (#1572)

Yes even Edd the Duck had his own game..........who's Edd the Duck? Well to cut a long story short there was a children's TV show that I loved called the Broom Cupboard and it had a puppet called Gordon the Gopher who I loved to bits, well he moved on to another programme called Going Live and was replaced by Edd the Duck, and I hated Edd the Duck! HATED HIM!!

Anyways enough spitting out my dummy and onto this game which I have mixed feelings on. I quite like the graphics and the concept, but the scrolling is the major let down here. Not the worst but it could and probably should have been so much more.

Edd the Duck in reality is no more than a Rainbow Islands clone. And despite looking pretty enough, it hardly competes with the quality of RI. The scrolling is the biggest problem here, it drags the player on, until he feels the need to turn off the game. And that's the reason why I'm playing good old player friendly Bruce Lee again...

Marvelous game full of magic although the painful scroll spoils things a little ...

2,5 / 5 .

The graphics are very cutesy and very nice but the slow scrolling makes things very tricky as it's difficult getting your jumps rights. If not for that this would have earned a higher score.

This could have been a very faithful Rainbow Islands clone but its slow scrolling spoils the majority of the fun. It makes the jumping very awkward and hard to anticipate your jumps to avoid the enemies off the screen. It's not bad looking at all really, it just plays a bit arse and it doesn't take long for you to prefer Rainbow Islands.

Would have been a really fun platformer if not for the dreadful scrolling, though it’s still a decent game to try out and it may surprise you.
