Don´t ask me why but I have always found Xmas games very glamorous and alluring .

This Special Delivery is a cute one ... introduce the packets through the top of the chimneys while you ride your flying sleigh. Cute ! Isn´t it ? :)

Xmas fun ! ho, ho, ho ! 3 / 5 .

1984 Creative Sparks (UK)
by Dalali Software

Creative Sparks released a few original games. Stage Coach, Orc Attack or Snodgits are among some of these.
Special Delivery doenst come too far. Its a simple game, divided in three or four parts (cant remember exactly) but you can't deny it's a charmer.
Simple graphic layout but quite effective, specially in the holiday season and the gaming is reasonably good although this is basicaly a score beating game.
Im not aware if Creative Sparks sold much but it surely was a nice try for the company.

You're Santa Claus, you fly over the snowy peaks, on your reindeer led sleigh, trying to catch packages drop by little angels coming in many different colours, yellow, red, blue, and the red ones which seem demonic entities - all this while dodging the clouds, which STEAL the packages from your sleigh, preventing you to deliver them. Then you must THROW the damned packages, if you have any left, on the mini-houses, without stopping. In the next section the house are larger, and you can land over them, and enter the chimney. Here the game changes, and the chimneys are like THREE WAY HIGHWAYS, with fires and other things running up through them, while you descend. If you manage to reach the bottom, your enter the house, and the scenario/perspective changes again. Now it's a slightly oblique 3d view of all the rooms of the house, stuffed in one screen: you must reach the Christmas tree, where a package will be automtically left, avoiding the people moving around, using ladders, then you must pick up the key, and reach the door. And it continues like that until I don't know when. WHICH IS DULL. 2/5

While it offers more gameplay that Merry Xmas Santa with three seperate parts to it, but it has much more frustration with having to avoid clouds, presents from red angels, fire coming up ladders and people touching you in the house. But it offers much more than it probably should, and that's why I'm positive about it.

I liked this game, it felt very much like how a Christmas game should be. But it can be a bit on the slow side and I found it to be a bit too confusing at times. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't have it on my wish list every Christmas.

Finally a very decent Christmas game. The problem is though it's too much the same throughout and repetition creeps in very very quickly. But it's still pretty decent nevertheless.
