For those who've played the official Tetris on the ZX Spectrum you'll remember that the original was a disappointment, the background got in the way and the drop button was very sensitive.....well there was a sequel from Czechoslovakia and it crushes that version! This is just a fantastic version of Tetris, it has it's flaws like to move your blocks you have to press the button every time and it doesn't move as you hold in the button but it's much more enjoyable than Mirrorsoft's version. The graphics are simpler which works and the music from Frantisek Fuka is superb. This is Tetris as it should be, fun, enjoyable and utterly brilliant.

So to sum it up - England 0 Czechoslovakia 1.

If you want to play Tetris on the Spectrum this is the version to go for. There's 2 game modes to choose from, the classic endless mode and a mission mode.
This is a lot better than the official version of Tetris the Spectrum received. It's not perfect but it's close enough.

A marvellous Tetris game that's so much better than the Mirrorsoft release. Everything is better and the gameplay is great fun. The finest Tetris game on the Speccy.

I was never a big fan of Tetris, but after reading other reviewers praise about this version, I decided to give it a shot. And what a game it is...
This is not just the classic Tetris, it includes an optional variant with different obstacles and situations, like brick walls or speeded up levels, among others.
I turned into another Tetris freak and just cant stop playing it! Help!

A very fine Tetris version ... !!!

Acho que os tetrominós especiais são horríveis, e o modo de missões não me pareceu particularmente interessante. O que sobra é o modo normal, e eu ainda acho que o Tetris da Mirrorsoft é melhor nisso (apesar de seus defeitos). O Tetris 2 não tem cores muito diferenciadas, não mostra a próxima peça, e, pior, não acelera.

Best version of Tetris on the Spectrum. Excellent gameplay and excellent music makes this a winner. An unofficial sequel outdoes the licenced original.

What two great second parts you have chosen!

Especially the Tetris follow-up because it is exceptionally well polished.

This second installment of one of the essential games is one of the best of any game. Very well done, perhaps more addicting than the first. Superbly achieved levels.
