I'm very interested in it as well. It would have been a nice Christmas gift to myself

Re: What's the max memory upgrade?
Would I be able to use the extra RAM as a 'disk drive'? Would I be able to hold data in it and access it when needed?
Thanks!
Thanks!

What's the max memory upgrade?
Is it possible to upgrade the memory of a 48K Speccy? Was there an expansion that could fit in the back and upgrade it to 128K or more?

The 1541 is a dinosaur as far as Disk drives are concerned. If it were any better, I might have just bought a 64, hell, even with its stone age BASIC

Does it need special hardware (I assume it does) for it to work on physical machines?

Thanks! Now I have to get my soldering iron back up, I thought it would be an easier solution, but this seems good enough for now.

How can I boost the +2A's RGB signal?
So my +2A works on my small CRT TV/monitor but wont work on my older Samsung CRT which has both a SCART and composite input. My friend's C-64 works perfectly with the composite cable he has. I think the +2A's signal isn't strong enough?
Any solution to this?

That is very interesting Peter. However, it looks like the C 1541 isn't a normal disk drive as far as the serial port is concerned.

Re: Anyway to connect a Commodore disk drive to a +2A?
Nice to see you back @Sparky! Personally I would sell it on eBay and put it towards a +3 and a Gotek. Thanks Peter. I really missed the forum! Selling it on ebay is probably the best thing to do. I know it works because my friend that gave it to me tested it in front of me, he has 4 more of them an...

Anyway to connect a Commodore disk drive to a +2A?
Hi everyone. I was recently given a 1541 Commodore disk drive. I don't currently have a Commodore machine and was wondering Id there is a way to use it on the Speccy?
It's not a necessary thing, It would be nice to see it work.
Thanks!

Interesting video on TZXduino and tape speed
I just watched this video and thought it to be worth mentioning it here. I always wondered about cassette tape speeds and how they work.
This one explains a lot though it uses the CPC as an example it is still applicable to the Speccy.
